J Is for Jetsetters — Shopping

November 29, 2017

We all have that friend who seems to spend more time on the road than she does at home. You know who we're talking about — the coworker who always uses all of her vacation time, or the friend who has more frequent flyer miles than everyone else you know combined. You might not always be able to hit the road with her, but you can give her something for the holidays that'll help her think of you while she's at home or away.

Here are 10 great gifts for your most well-traveled friend.

  1. Eat Well, Travel Often Journal, $70 at Leatherology: With 128 lined pages, this leather notebook should be big enough for your well-traveled friend to keep a list of places she wants to go to and things she wants to eat.
  2. FÖRENKLA Shoulder Bag, $18 at IKEA: We've already sung the praises of this bag and we'll do it again. It's small enough that it won't weigh shoulders down, yet big enough to hold (and protect) snacks.
  3. Area Code Rocks Glasses, $56 for four at Sisters of Los Angeles: Get out your phone and look up your friend's number (bonus points if you actually have it memorized!). If her area code is available, you should scoop up a set of these rocks glasses.
  4. West Coasters, $32 for four at Reed Wilson Design: These birch coasters were cut to resemble the coastline on the western side of the country. Don't worry — there's an East Coaster option, too. (And a Gulf Coaster and even a No Coaster set.) Coastal pride for everyone!
  5. City Shapes Cocktail Tray, $35 at Teroforma: Choose from 13 major cities and present your friend with a colorful cocktail tray featuring buildings from her favorite skyline.
  6. Phoenix Copper Water Bottle, $48 at Rustico: There are a lot of water bottles on the market (one could even say the market is flooded — zing!), but very few are as flashy as this copper option. And it comes with a hand-sewn leather sleeve.
  7. Mini Spice Zipper Bags, $5 for 10 at Kikkerland: These little spice pouches are perfect for your friend who likes to cook and somehow always manages to stay at Airbnbs without a basic pantry.
  8. City Map Paper Placemats, $20 for 24 sheets at Omy: Little kids can be jetsetters, too! (Most likely because their parents are, but you get our point.) If you've got some tiny travelers in your life, consider these paper placemats, which feature six different cities that need to be colored in.
  9. Explore Zipper Pouch, $30 at Izola: Just think about how many granola bars and bags of nuts can fit into this little zippered pouch!
  10. Snacks, from $19 at Try the World: Not only is this gift box fun because it features on-the-go snacks, but it also includes interesting treats from around the world. Choose how many boxes you want to send (one, three, six, or 12) and the only hard part will be figuring out where your traveling friend will be to receive them.
