Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in love and engaged, and that means a lot of changes are in store for the happy couple. Markle shut down her lifestyle website in April and said goodbye to her stunt-double on Suits last week. Now she's packed up and ready to move into her new royal residence, Nottingham Cottage.

According to House Beautiful UK, Nottingham Cottage is located on the grounds of Kensington Palace, and it's not far from where Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge live with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince William and his family live in Apartment 1A, which is a four-story home with 22 rooms. It's called an apartment, but it's approximately the size of a city block.

In contrast, Nottingham Cottage is comparatively tiny. It has one master bedroom and a small guest bedroom/den, two bathrooms, and a small living room. There's a kitchen and one small dining room. Nottingham Cottage is one of the smallest properties in Kensington Palace, and Prince Harry has lived there by himself for the past four years.

Before Prince Harry moved in, Nottingham Cottage was something of a traditional place for royal newlyweds. Prince William and his wife lived there briefly after they were first married in 2011, and it was reportedly "spruced up" for the couple, with the understanding that Prince Harry would be moving into it when they moved out.

Nottingham Cottage is small, but the two-bedroom home should be plenty of room for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for now. She's lived there on an unofficial, temporary basis from time to time while dating Prince Harry. Now she's moving in officially, and bringing her two dogs with her.

Markle is an avid cook, but if the Nottingham Cottage kitchen is not up to date, Markle could always go visit her future sister-in-law. The Duchess of Cambridge's house has three kitchens, including a smaller, private one she had installed so they could cook for themselves.

Nottingham Cottage is one of the most modest properties at Kensington Palace, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not be living in it for very long. According to AOL News, the palace started replacing the roof and windows of Kensington Palace Apartment 1 back in June, and rumors abounded that it was being renovated for Prince Harry and his future wife. That apartment is a four-story, 21-room home right next to Prince William's house, and it has plenty of room for Meghan Markle to create the kitchen of her dreams, or even three of them.
