Anthony Bourdain Shows Us How To Make the Best Scrambled Eggs — Kitchen Heroes

November 01, 2017

Scrambled eggs are one of those foods that could cause the next world war. Many of us love the method we grew up with, or the way we learned to eat them when we were older if your parents butchered them while you lived at home. Some like them cheesy, some like them fluffy, some like them loaded with sour cream. Then there's Anthony Bourdain's method. And he wants none of those things!

Over at Business Insider, they've been chatting on Facebook about the best way to make scrambled eggs. Bourdain was joined by Danny Bowien, who is known for his rounded black glasses and his restaurants, Mission Chinese Food in New York and San Francisco.

Learning how people we trust and respect cook simple things is always fascinating. It's sometimes hard to remember that celebrity chefs put their pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us. So although it's easy to think that the best scrambled eggs in the world might be loaded up with caviar, avocado, or some snooty cheese that's only found in one rural village in the Swiss Alps, this isn't the case with eggs.

Bourdain reveals that he likes his eggs with salt and pepper, cooked in butter and finished wet so they complete their cooking on the plate. Do not overbeat or overstir so there's good texture.

And Bob's your uncle, you can now make eggs for Anthony Bourdain himself. I mean, I wouldn't want you to be unprepared in case he swings by for breakfast. That's what friends are for, right?
