Don’t Buy Anything on Cyber Monday Without Doing This First — Shopping
With all the (seemingly) urgent sales on Cyber Monday, it's easy to get swept up in the chaos — especially on Amazon, the online retailer that seems to sell all the things. Before you know it, you've spent hundreds of dollars on gadgets you may or may not have planned on buying in the first place. That's all fine and good if you don't like saving money. If you do like saving money, however, there's one small thing you should do before you start shopping on Amazon.
Before you shop Amazon's Cyber Monday sales, visit camelcamelcamel!
In a perfect world, you'll have some sort of shopping list, featuring all the things you're hoping to buy for yourself or as gifts (an Instant Pot, a Keurig coffee maker, and a Vitamix, for example). And then, before you even start putting things in your cart, you'll visit camelcamelcamel.
What's camelcamelcamel ?
It's a website that lets you view the price history of just about any product on Amazon — more than 18 million in total. For free. You can also sign up for product alerts so that you will be notified whenever the price of an item you're watching dips below a certain threshold.
Why You Should Use camelcamelcamel
Amazon's pricing fluctuates significantly from day to day, so it can be difficult to know whether you're always scoring the best deal. Is that stand mixer really a good deal or does it just seem like a good deal because it's Cyber Monday? Search the item on camelcamelcamel and you'll be able to see if that $50 price cut is the lowest it's been or if Amazon can do better. If the price was lower before Cyber Monday, chances are it'll be marked down again at some point (this is when the product alerts come in handy).
