How many times have you attempted to make a "simple" recipe and ended up using all the pots and tools you have in your kitchen? There are so many recipes out there that look simple enough to make or even promise to be no-fuss, but then you're left with a pile of dishes that take you just as long to clean as it took you to cook. The Onion has taken notice of this annoyance, and created a video that I think just about everyone will relate to.
Here at Kitchn we have just as little time as anyone else to get a good, wholesome meal on the table that everyone will love. One-pot meals and sheet pan suppers are a great way to get lots of things done with very little hands-on work. These dinner standbys, however, get turned into a fussier affair thanks to the little things. Do you have to cook something on the stove and then transfer it to the oven in a different dish? Or as the video suggests, do you have to pre-sautée some garlic or roast potatoes with a different spice?
This video from The Onion that was posted to their Facebook perfectly describes my sentiments to many other quick weeknight meal recipes. I'm also dying to know where she kept a whole salmon in her fridge!
