Get Your Kitchen Organized for Less than $7 — Amazon Deal of the Day

We are big supporters of hooks here at Kitchn. (We actually have plans to write a lot about them in February! Exciting, we know.) The thing about hooks is that they turn space that would otherwise be wasted into bonus storage. You can add some hooks to the wall in your pantry, behind a door, or along your backsplash and you instantly have a home for all sorts of stuff.

All hooks are great. We just happen to love Command Hooks the best. And these are some of our favorites from the brand.

Command Hooks are affordable, easy to move (and remove, leaving no nail holes to spackle over — a renter's dream), and they really, really work. This pack features some of the sturdiest hooks. They can hold up to three pounds and, because the hook is wire (instead of bulky plastic), almost anything can be hung from one.

Here are some suggestions for things to hang up to create more storage space in your kitchen.

  1. Pot holders: Place a hook right near your oven and you'll always have a pot holder within an arm's reach.
  2. Cleaning supplies: Keep brooms, mops, and dust pans standing upright and out of the way.
  3. Grocery bags: You've probably got 700 canvas tote bags laying around your house. Hang your favorites on a few Command Hooks and celebrate when you actually remember to bring them with you to the store.
  4. Utensils: If you have a go-to pair of tongs or a slotted spoon you always cook with, hanging it on a hook near the stovetop will streamline the dinner-making process.
  5. Sauce packets: Use a binder clip to hold various sauce packets together and then slide the clip over a hook in the pantry.

What other ways do you use Command Hooks around the kitchen? Let us know in the comments.
