The Most Popular Super Bowl Recipes in Every State, According to Google — Food News
The Super Bowl is coming, and while Super Bowl Sunday may not technically be a holiday, Super Bowl parties rival Thanksgiving when it comes to preparing to have a whole lot of people in your house eating food. This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the New England Patriots, and people all across the U.S. will be gathering to watch the game and eat huge amounts of food.
What food you will eat during the Super Bowl depends a lot on where you live, and this year Google released its most uniquely-searched Super Bowl recipes in all 50 states.
To compile this list, Google gathered all the Super Bowl recipes being searched in the past week, then found the most over-represented search item in each state, compared with the U.S. as a whole.
There are a lot of surprises on this list. Illinois is looking for Philly cheesesteaks, not Italian beef or sausage? But while Illinois and Ohio are making Philly cheesesteaks, Pennsylvania is making chili.
Chili is by far the most popular item on this list. It's the most-searched recipe in 10 states, including Arkansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, Alaska is making dip out of pickles, dill, and dried beef.
