L’appart Book Signings and Events

October 25, 2017

We’re almost there! In just a few days, November 7th to be exact, my new book, L’appart, will be released. I’m preparing a post that will give you more information and backstory about the book. (Spoiler: It’s a comedy of errors – mostly mine, with recipes), but here’s a list of book signings and related events that are coming up.

Most were listed on my Schedule page, as well as on my Facebook page, so some of the ticketed events are sold-out. However, in every city, there is an event that is free and open to the public. So you’re welcome to come and get your book signed, or just to stop by and say hi. Some of the venues request that you RSVP, so they know how many people to expect.

[Note: Two events have been changed from their original listing. The November 7th in Brooklyn was listed on the bookstore’s website as being on November 11th; it’ll indeed be taking place on November 7th. And the NYC event on December 10th with Deb Perelman was sold out, but has moved to a larger venue and there are now more tickets available.]

If you can’t make it to any of the events, I’ve listed a few bookstores below where you can order a personalized book, and have it sent to you. – david

A few notes!

If you can’t make it to an event and would like a signed and personalized book, you can order one from Omnivore Books, RJ Julia, or Book Larder, which I’ll sign and the store will deliver right to you. You can contact the stores directly through those links. If you live outside the U.S., Book Depository ships books internationally, although they don’t offer signed copies.

Some bookstores and venues listed above require that you purchase the book at their shop. Check the venue’s website, or call, to find out what their policy is.

Even though I had an eye appointment on Monday, and I think I read that eye chart correctly – it was in French, so I may have made a goof or two, especially on the “E” and the “I,” which are pronounced in the reverse of English. So check with the various websites to confirm times, dates, and addresses.

As you can see, my days (and nights!) are packed solid. We can’t add any dates or cities to the itinerary at this point. (Plus my tolerance for being squished into those ever-shrinking airline seats is waning, as they keep getting smaller and smaller.) However, I’m happy to go elsewhere, especially if there is a beach and tropical drinks involved. If you know of a venue that would like to host me at a later date, even if there snow, they can be in touch with the publicists at Crown Books to make arrangements.
