The Best Bottles of Budget Alcohol, According to Our Readers — Alcohol for Entertaining

October 26, 2017

A few weeks ago, we asked our Facebook followers to tell us about their favorite budget-friendly bottles of booze. One clear pattern quickly emerged: You guys love any and all liquor from Costco. We got nominations for Cotsco's gin, vodka, and more.

Beyond that, though, here's what else stuck out from the nominations.

"It's about $22 to $26 for a handle and is soooo good, and I'm not even a bourbon drinker. But for cocktails (Sazeracs are my summer jam) or even with Coke Zero it's a solid win. Hubs prefers it straight, rocks." —Shannon Clayton Flanagan

"The large bottle is a steal at $20 and is as smooth as some of my favorite more expensive bottles." —Susan Srsic Lutte

"It's $20 a bottle, and waaaaaay better tasting than Patron at more than half the price." —Kari Murphy

"It's less than $10 and, every so often, goes on sale for $6.99 for 750 ml and we buy every bottle they have in the store. It's delicious with Pepsi, Coke, root beer, Dr. Pepper, and even orange pop." —Juliana Gasparich

"Not sure if Tito's is considered 'budget friendly,' but I think it's pretty darned good vodka for the money." —Ann MacIntosh Baker

"It's inexpensive and tastes better than most of the top brands." —Timothy R Schingleton

"Skyy is a good budget-friendly vodka, though that post about Luksusowa has me curious. Also, buying the 1.75 ml [option] is always a better value than buying the 750ml." —Tom Saaristo
