Ina Garten Just Shared Her Dip Recipe for the Super Bowl — Pop Culture
I have a love-hate relationship with following chef and food personalities — including Ina Garten — on Instagram. It's so hard to look at all the delicious food they are making when I don't have it in front of me, or have the necessary ingredients in my fridge or pantry to make what they're cooking. But today, when Ina Garten mentioned her favorite dip recipe for the Super Bowl on Instagram and on her site, I knew I had everything in my house already to make it for Super Bowl Sunday, and I bet you do too.

The secret of this dip lies in the onions. No, they aren't special onions flown in from France — they're just traditional yellow onions that are caramelized. They are seasoned with a little salt, pepper, and cayenne before being pan-fried on the stove for about 30 minutes. Does that sound like a long time for a dip? Maybe, but knowing Ina Garten's recipes, I 100 percent believe that it's worth the added effort.
The rest of the dip is comprised of sour cream, "good" mayonnaise (classic Ina), and cream cheese.
"People tell me that my Pan-Fried Onion Dip is so addicting that they've made it for a party, eaten the WHOLE thing before the party started, and had to make it again! LOL!!" Ina gushed on Instagram today. You've been warned: If you make this dip, definitely make two batches of it at once, so you won't run out before the first the game has even started.
