The combination of bright pineapple and savory Canadian bacon is highly underrated. And super delicious! Add shredded mozzarella and Italian herbs and you have the makings of the perfect pizza!

  • Canadian Bacon: Since Hawaiian pizza actually originated from Canada, Canadian bacon is a must! (It also just tastes good. You can used diced ham, too!)
  • Pineapple Tidbits: Both fresh and canned pinepple work here. If using canned, just be sure to drain completely so the pineapple juice doesn’t make your pizza soggy.
  • Italian Seasoning: Ever wonder why your homemade pizzas don’t have that je ne sais quoi? You need some seasoning! This helps to boost flavor and add tasty aromatics.

Let’s Make Some Pizza!

This Hawaiian pizza only takes a few minutes to prepare and then 12-14 minutes to bake. Just as long as you’d cook a frozen pizza! It’s a lot easier than you’d think and turns out perfectly every time.

  1. Preheat Oven, Prepare Dough: To begin, preheat oven to 425 degrees F. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a large circle. Lightly sprinkle the cornmeal onto the bottom of your pizza pan and lay the dough on the pan.
  2. Add Toppings: Spread pizza sauce evenly. Add the cheese, Canadian bacon, and pineapple.
  3. Bake and Serve: Sprinkle with italian seasoning and bake for 12-14 minutes or until cheese is melted. Slice and serve.

  • Change Crust: Pizza doesn’t have to break your diet! You can make a low-carb version of your pineapple pizza by using a cauliflower, zucchini, or keto crust! You can also try a whole wheat pizza crust if you’re wanting to boost your fiber intake!
  • Make it Meaty: Bacon bits and crumbled sausage are more tasty toppings that go well with Hawaiian pizza!
  • Switch Cheese: When deciding on what cheese to add to your pizza, you’re going to want to look for something that gets nice and melty. Cheddar, provolone, and gouda are other great substitutes!

Storing Leftovers

Leftover pizza is a pretty common lunch at our house. Here’s how to keep your pineapple pizza tasting as fresh and delicious as possible!

  • In the Refrigerator: Wrap leftover pizza slices in plastic wrap or store in airtight container. It will stay good for 3-4 days.
  • Reheating: I like to reheat leftover pizza in the oven or air fryer to keep it from getting soggy. This is especially important when you’re working with a pizza that has pineapple on it. In the oven– reheat for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In the air fryer– reheat at 350 degrees F for 4-5 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
