My original Detox Smoothie is a very popular recipe, so I thought it was important to show you how to make a Berry Detox Smoothie too! If you love berries, then you’re going to love the sweet flavor of berries in this smoothie. I like to use it as a meal replacement for breakfast, and it’s a great pick-me-up for an afternoon snack as well. I also make energy balls quite often to munch on after workouts.

Are these detox smoothie ingredients considered Superfoods?
Kale is a superfood, rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin A. Berries are a superfood high in fiber, vitamin C and anti-inflammatory antioxidants. Walnuts and chia seeds are superfoods that are also considered healthy omega-3 fats, which help protect your brain. Ginger is a superfood that is loaded with nutrients that have benefits for your body and brain. Tart cherry juice is a great superfood to add to your diet. It’s rich in antioxidants, and it offers anti-inflammatory benefits.
How to make a Berry Detox Smoothie:
Add all of the smoothie ingredients to a blender jar. If you are looking for a good smoothie blender, we have the Ninja blender, and it’s great at blending perfect smoothies. Blend all of your berry detox smoothie ingredients until nice and smooth.
Pour into a tall glass.
Garnish with fresh fruit, if desired. Enjoy!
Substitution suggestions:
Fresh spinach may be substituted for the kale. You can use almonds in place of walnuts. Experiment with using another kind of juice in place of cherry juice. Or use coconut water or almond milk in place of the cherry juice. You can really make any substitutions you want with this Berry Detox Smoothie recipe, but the base recipe is excellent so don’t mess with it too much!
